The University of New Mexico Office for Equity & Inclusion is conducting a search for a Program Coordinator to establish and launch the administrative and operations foundation of the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Questioning (LGBTQ) Resource Center. The LGBTQ Resource Center is a newly established entity whose mission is to provide service to UNM students, faculty, and staff of all gender identities and sexual orientations through support, advocacy, education, and safety. The selected candidate's day-to-day reporting will be to the Vice-President for Equity & Inclusion. The candidate will be required to work collaboratively with UNM departments and organizations as well as local, state, regional, and national programs, enterprises, and/or projects committed to serving as an ally and support for the LGBTQ community. This is a unique and challenging position that requires the application and use of a wide spectrum of skills, including, but not limited to: establishing appropriate and pertinent educational programming and special events; designing and assembling leadership development opportunities; fundraising and grant-garnering success; making appropriate referrals to an established network of student service entities; developing and implementing effective training modules and seminars; data analysis techniques; and engaging partnership and collaborative efforts to support university-wide diversity initiatives. Candidates who are self-motivated and creative; possess successful experience working in a higher education arena; and have significant interest and commitment to establishing a positive, supportive, and diverse team are encouraged to apply.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to:
- Provide leadership in establishing a Resource Center that will provide support, advocacy, education, and safety to students, faculty, and staff of all gender identities and sexual orientations
- Engage and work with other units/programs on campus to address diversity, equity and inclusion
- Interact with students, faculty, and/or staff in a team environment
- Make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:
An understanding of all manifestations of diversity, equity, and inclusion to create awareness and support for these groups.

Experience working with diverse populations, especially with LGBTQ communities.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Referrals will be made by Skilled Team for the short term services of a social worker to serve clients' and families' needs. The Social Worker will perform Psycho-Social Assessments documented in standardized forms, develop and implement a written plan of care and supporting documentation of services provided and progress made, and participate in discharge planning. They will provide direct services ranging from short term therapy to resource identification and referral, as well as attend case conference and in-service trainings as relevant to their practice and caseload.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
-- Licensed MSW in the State of New Mexico.
-- Minimum one year of experience in a health related field-preferably home health care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
-- Adhering to agency, state and federal regulations.
-- Demonstrating knowledge and skill of the agency complaint, abuse, neglect and exploitation process and state/federal regulations.
-- Initial and ongoing assessments to identify the client's level of functioning and ability to communicate, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points.
-- Developing the plan of care and goals with the physician and other team members with revisions as appropriate.
-- Identifying barriers to desired outcomes.
-- Providing treatment in accordance with the plan of care.
-- Documenting accurate and timely clinical notes.
-- Consulting, coordinating and documenting services with other team members and the physician.
-- Provide teaching and education to client/caregiver and other family members to maximize independence.
-- Evaluating effectiveness and outcomes of care with continual preparation for discharge.
-- Participting in in-services provided by the agency and any other needed resources to maintain current practice standards.
