NASW-NM relies heavily on the volunteering of our members. We have a tremendous group of volunteers who currently work with NASW. However, to advocate for our profession and for our members, we need more volunteers.

Here are some ways you can help:

Conference Planning Committee
Help plan the states largest social work conference! Meet monthly with other professionals and students to assist with all areas of the planning process.

Proposal Review Committee
Review/select abstracts for the state conference. Meet 1-2 times annually.

Nomination Committee
Make selections for chapter annual awards and prepare elective slate for chapter offices. Meet 2 times a year.

Task Forces
Join one of these specialty groups who address issues affecting these populations:

• Juvenile Justice Task Force
• Native American Task Force
• School Social Work Alliance
• Section on Aging

Program Units
Program units provide a local presence of the organization for social work in several areas throughout New Mexico.
